Who Are We?
The Cannery Restaurant
True to our nutritional roots, The Cannery is located in a real circa-1917 former vegetable cannery, in the heart of Green Bay’s historic Broadway District. Among the original exposed rustic brick walls and massive timbers of this architectural gem, you’ll find all kinds of wonderful places to gather and celebrate wholesome eating: an 80-seat restaurant, a meat market, grocers featuring just-in seasonal items and more. Set up a special event or just stop in to restock your fresh goods. We’ll be waiting to give you a down-home welcome!
John Pagel, Owner & Chief Visionary
“From our cows to your countertop.” That’s how the founder of The Cannery sums up his philosophy on just how fresh beef and dairy must be to truly own the title
As owner of Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy Farm, John is a lifelong farmer and longtime advocate of the local food movement. He had a vision of a place where people would gather, socialize, and rediscover their connection to wholesome, local foods. The Cannery is the result — not just a place, but an idea of how each of us can return closer to our roots.
Adrienne Winter, General Manager
Adrienne grew up on a small sheep farm and was attracted to the Cannery for its Farm to Table style. With a true passion for food, traceability and giving back to the community, she now calls Green Bay home.
When asked, Adrienne will tell you that she was raised on the value & importance of knowing where your food comes from and she loves working with those that share those same values. Excited to see what opportunities are in store for her here, Adrienne has brought a great energy to everyone here at the Cannery. Next time you are here, make sure to say hello and welcome her to our team.
